Hi all - im looking at a mid 80s larson with a gm io 260 model closed cooling (great for the ocean!), curious as to the quality of these boats? currently running a. The build quality and accessory quality depending on the brand (maybe even a larson senza) will be striking. a similar sized boat that cost 1/3 more new but used a couple seasons is worth a look. depending on your state, you may not pay any sales tax on private party, used boats versus new and of course the depreciation will help as well.. Anything over bayliner! larson is an excellent boats! bayliners build quality is very poor, their fit and finish is the worst. the materials they use are of low quality and generally only last a few years. the hulls are thin and their cabin layouts are not well planned to make use of available space..

larson boat build quality Mid-level boat builders. in the 2011 model year huntsville marine parted business dealings with four winns boats. quality wise we had some good years and some not so good years. with the bankruptcy in 2008 and the new ownership in 2010 (platinum equity) by a hedge fund company we were no longer a good match.. The bryant is built well, but its on the small side. beam is only 8 feet. but the build quality and choice is fantastic. the closest marina though is halfway to my dad's house in galena il. if i need service, its a 130 mile haul: the larson seems to have the best of everything, including build quality and price (hopefully)..
