Hi everyone without noticing the last 2 times we beached our ar190 it got pretty scratched up. i am actually wondering if the outside of the boat is paint or a gel coat? can somebody explain what the different layers are? is the outside of the boat paint? needles to say that i need a keel.... Sure you can but it is a fair amount of work. whether paint or gelcoat you have to do your fairing first. with paint you'd fair, prime, sand the primer, which sands easily, then spray topcoat and your done. with gelcoat you'd fair, spray gelcoat, a few coats, start sanding until you work your way down to 2000 grit or so then start buffing..
