jet boat will not plane
I am not familiar with your engine, however power packs are difinately a possibility as you are experiencing low power symptoms. another problem with a plane problem is the boats weight distribution could be bow heavy, so take everything out. glass bass boats your age can develop a hook in the boats plane surface if stored on a trailer incorrectly.. Posted by admin on dec 31, 2012 in boat accessories, boating | 3 comments. even thou we sell mainly boat propellers, we are avid boaters as well and here is some advice we picked up: if you want your boat to get up and plane off quicker because it is too slow to do that or you want quicker starts to pull water skiers and or tubes & towables, you can do three things to accomplish that without. I have a 1977 mercrusier sterndrive. the engine runs great. when i hit the gas, the motor revs up but the boat doesn't pick up much speed and it sounds like its working extra hard. it doesn't pick up fast enough to get up on plane. i changed props, i messed with the tilt, i'm not sure what to check next..
